26 October 2018 - Talk on Friday Two - Humphrey Repton in Bedfordshire
In 2016 the Walled Gardens origins were celebrated as part of the 300th anniversary of 'Capability' Brown's birth. And now, on the 200th anniversary of the death of Humphry Repton, we discuss the influence in Bedfordshire of another famous landscape gardener.

Felicity Brimblecombe will lead our talk leading on from the 2016 celebrations of the 300th anniversary of 'Capability' Brown's birth as we celebrate the 200th anniversary of the death of Humphry Repton, another famous landscape gardener with an association to Luton Hoo and Bedfordshire.

Although he was not called in at Luton Hoo to alter the Brown landscape, how did Humpry Repton influence other landscapes in Bedfordshire, such as Woburn, Moggerhanger, Hazells, and Battlesden?

All sessions are 10.30am-12.30pm with the talk commencing at 11.00am. No prior booking required.

Talks are £5 per person, including tea/coffee and all monies go towards the ongoing restoration of the Walled Garden.
