Luton Hoo Estate is widely recognised as a picturesque and versatile location with a range of period buildings in a commanding rural setting

The traditional brick buildings of the historic Home Farm complex and the stately Lime Tree Avenue that stretches for nearly a mile are two features that make Luton Hoo Estate a successful filming venue. In recent years the Estate has hosted a number of productions for both TV and the big screen including: Empire of the Sun, Gosford Park, Oliver, Four Weddings and a Funeral, Bleak House, Little Dorrit, Desperate Romantics, War Horse, Call the Midwife and The World’s End.

The team on the Estate are well versed in the demands of filming and a flexible, efficient approach allows for smooth, uninterrupted filming.

Situated only 32 miles from central London and within 2 miles of the M1, the Estate benefits from excellent access. With Harpenden a short distance away there are facilities for large film crew and casts.
