A traditional Estate that once included one of England's finest stately homes, Luton Hoo Estate has successfully adapted to modern demands.
The Luton Hoo Estate has been in the hands of the same family for generations since the Wernher family bought the Estate from a developer in 1903, however, the walled gardens still contain the structures and flowers that were put in place in the 1830's by the Marquess of Bute.
The family mansion was sold to Elite Hotels in 1999, however the main Estate remains in family hands and continues to thrive, with the family residing on the grounds ensuring that the Estate evolves and develops.
Today, the Estate boasts an arable farm (with environmentally-friendly systems incorporated within it's techniques), parkland, residential properties, commercial units, an historic model farm (regularly used for filming) and a local food hub. Additionally, the famous walled garden, developed by Lord Bute is being lovingly restored by a large number of volunteers.
